In X3 he achieved his ultimate battle body, in X4 he uses multiple battle bodies, in X5 he uses an unfinished final body, in X6 he's literally framed like a corpse, and in X8 he can barely hold himself together. But he looks so fucking raw at the same time.

12:33 Lol, it's true. Though, on one hand, I have a hard time blaming mega man fans for this one. On the other hand, it's not Kaiser-Sigma being a tough boss or anything, it's just damage tables in X3 being so absurdly fucked. They made everything in the game do dummy amounts of damage because they have to justify why you'd choose the armor chip at the same time as the damage reducing armor. So against enemies like bosses, it feels like you need the standard armor to take the same amount of hits you'd be able to take in X1 and X2, let ALONE any of the classic games. Kaiser-Sigma's basically just playtested with the player having the armor chip or gold chip. And instead of having a hard to dodge pattern, they wanted to challenge players with the 75% damage reduction by making it so he kills you in two hits with no damage reduction. Like the devs straight up said "fuck you!" to anybody playing the game blind who didn't have the upgrades. On top of that, they locked literally every upgrade in the game behind one stupid fucking jump in the corner of the ice stage, and called it a day. In X2 you could explore the whole game to find the upgrades from the get go, and in X1 all you have to do is go halfway through the ice stage. In X1 the game progresses like a brief, explorative jaunt of exploring how it's like with no upgrades before stumbling upon the capsule naturally. Meanwhile if you play X3 and you decide that the stupid ice physics jump might be something you'll want to handle later, then congrats, you're now playing a megaman X game with the progression of a classic megaman. Except unlike classic megaman, you die in two fucking hits, and the boss patterns were made to challenge people who have more than two hits. Not fun. It's doable if you're experienced, but that's asking that you know the game's boss patterns ahead of time. And I normally love no-upgrade, buster-only challenges, but only if I've already played the game or if the game is balanced enough for me to still have fun like that blind. X3 is not. If you don't know the boss patterns, and decide to do that stupid jump later, you'll be replaying the stages a LOT... I'm convinced every X3 fan either played it with a walkthrough, or they played it as a kid and forgot what the blind playthrough is like.

New Kak is also one of only two active Stand characters added to Heritage for the Future, the other being Vanilla Ice (and both are just clones of other characters already in Venture). All other newcomers are passive Stand users.

banning toptiers in tournaments is really dumb. learn the matchup or just mirror match the kakyoin player, yeah he is broken but it makes no sense to ban him, there are many broken characters in other FG's that are not banned in tournaments, that is not how you solve a problem, just banning a mf is dumb. chunli in third stike, Morrigan in umvc3, fox in melee, sentinel mvc2. they are all not banned, because people just did not cry about that and started to accept that some characters should be stronger than others

I played this game casually for years with my friends and always played Mariah and Hol Horse simply because they looked cool (I'm not a Jojo fan I have no idea who these people are) and I would always struggle. Learning years later that they're just straight up bad makes a lot of sense.

So i guess it's time for another random ASBR comparison Kakyoin isn't a character I'm all too familiar playing as, but in ASBR, he's actually top tier, or at least high tier compared to the rest of the cast too (I guess the fighting games really like him with how good he ends up being lmao) In Stand Off, he can play keep away really easily with Emerald Splash, along with a trap move that's meant to replace Net I believe. It's definitely not as overbearing as you make Net out to be, but it's useful for oki and messing up combos, since it sticks around even after being hit. In Stand On, he has gets an upgraded Emerald Splash that he can aim in the air with, as well as Stand Rush back into Stand Off. He also has a really silly command grab that reaches extremely far. He doesn't have an air dash and is pretty slow and floaty, so he's kinda like Dhalsim in a way. His health is slightly lower than average, but not the same tied lowest that characters like the animals and vampires have. As a little sidenote, his 2OM Emerald Splash is def when one the best looking supers in the game personally.

SSF played such a huge role in my childhood. We couldnt afford a gamecube so I could only play melee at a friends house, and he lived pretty far away. So the next best thing was walking to the public library to play SSF1. When SSF2 dropped, i was so excited. Life got going and eventually, i forgot about it until recently. Just got back into it, and now its my wife and me's goto smash game.

The amount of times I've watched MrMix talk about this JoJo fighting game is very numerous by this point and yet, I still am gripped by his commentary and breakdown every single time. This goes for any game and character he covers really. MrMix, honestly one of my favorite fighting game breakdowners, up there with Big Yellow. Keep doing what you're doing, dude. Love these videos.

I dont like him at all, especially when mastered he has good combos but there are so many exceptions, some chars when they are kids get a lot of s and combo potential is very limited aswell, his stand on basics cant start combos but very long range and fast, his stand offs can start combo 5A and 5C etc, but they short range as hell, if you cant master 66A and 663A then char just sucks

7:34 Capcom really loved doing the flashing lights a lot for a ton of their games. I'm surprised they never got any complaints of people having seizures playing their games. Not only Jojo's, but SF vs X-men had a TON of flashing light effects. Hell even Phoenix Wright games overuse a lot of flashing light effects in the old DS games.
